What to Wear
Light, informal, cotton clothing and sturdy, comfortable shoes are recommended. Other recommended items include sunshades and insect repellent when going into the forests.

Currency
The main currency used in Indonesian is the Rupiah (Rp) however the Singapore Dollar (S$) is widely accepted at the resorts. Most hotels accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit card payments. Should you be heading down south to the greater Bintan for some sightseeing and shopping, it is advisable to have ready notes and coins in Indonesian Rupiah (Rp).

Language
Bahasa Indonesia is the national language and simple English is widely used.

How to get there
Bintan Resort Ferries operates a regular ferry service between Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and Bintan Resorts' Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal.The journey takes less than an hour. Make sure you are at the terminal at least half an hour before the ferry leaves.

Travel documents
International passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and you must have proof of onward or return passage. For visa requirements, please check with the Indonesian embassy or consulate in your country or your nearest travel agent.
